Cookie Policy
Last updated: 3 June 2026
In this Cookie Policy, “We”, “us”, “our”, and “Flipper” mean Flipper Devices, Inc. (USA) and Flipper FZCO (UAE), the independent controllers identified in our Privacy Policy and Controllers Page (Annex 1).
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and device fingerprinting. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
How we use cookies
We use cookies on busy.app for four purposes:
| Category | Description | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Essential for the website to function (session management, shopping cart, security, load balancing). These cannot be switched off. | No |
| Functional | Remember your preferences (language, region, display settings). | Yes |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. We use self-hosted analytics (PostHog) — your data stays on our infrastructure and is not shared with third-party analytics vendors — together with third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Metricool, Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps). | Yes |
| Advertising | Used by our advertising partners to show you relevant ads and to measure ad performance (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Analytics). Under California law, this activity qualifies as “sharing” of personal information. | Yes |
Meta Pixel and Facebook Conversions API
We use Meta Pixel and Facebook Conversions API (CAPI) on our website. Meta Pixel places cookies in your browser. CAPI sends data server-side. Both transmit browsing events (page views, purchases) to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.
Under GDPR, Flipper and Meta are joint controllers for the collection and transmission of this data (per CJEU Fashion ID, C-40/17). Meta is the sole controller for all subsequent processing on its platforms. The joint-controllership arrangement is described on our Controllers Page.
Under CCPA, this activity constitutes sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out — see our US States Privacy Notice.
How to manage cookies
Consent banner
When you first visit our website, our consent banner (the Shopify-native consent management platform) asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the website footer. We are rolling out Google Consent Mode v2 ahead of release so that consent signals are propagated to Google’s tags.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be rejected — they are required for the website to function.
Browser settings
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking all cookies may prevent parts of our website from working correctly.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we will treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies and of the “sharing” of personal information under California law.
“Do Not Sell or Share”
California residents can opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. See our US States Privacy Notice.
Cookie lifetimes
Non-essential cookies on our website have a maximum lifetime as set by the relevant provider. For EEA visitors, non-essential cookies require renewed consent in accordance with applicable regulator guidance.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third parties (Meta, Google, TikTok, Microsoft) when you visit our website. Where these vendors act as joint controllers with us (e.g. Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel), see Controllers Page (Annex 1) of our Privacy Policy for the joint-controllership disclosure. Microsoft Clarity operates under an independent controller arrangement – see the Independent Controller Disclosures section of our Controllers Page (Annex 1). These third parties have their own privacy policies:
Meta: facebook.com/privacy/policy
Google: policies.google.com/privacy
TikTok: tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy
Metricool: metricool.com/privacy-policy
Microsoft (Clarity): privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement
We do not control third-party cookies. You can also manage them through the third party’s own opt-out tools.
